1 Incidence
Swine farm 220 pigs, weight in 20kg ~ 40kg range, which has 12 pigs of 7 pig sudden illness, serious illness, from the onset to death 10 h ~ 24h; 5 pigs mild disease, from the onset to cure 7 days to 9 days, the rest of the pig by adding Chinese herbal medicine and antiviral penicillin and sulfa antibiotics for prevention and treatment in the feed, and disinfect farms, the epidemic quickly under control.
2 clinical symptoms
Pigs temperature 41 to 43 DEG C, the most acute short duration, generally 1 to 2 days, the main performance of the most acute symptoms of meningitis, usually sudden onset, ataxia, blind circle, empty chewing, molars, scream and fall to the ground, some supine, non-stop swimming like limbs for paddling, finally paralysis there are two died, without any symptoms of sudden death. 3 pathological changes
The pigs were necropsied, mainly showed meningeal hyperemia, hemorrhage and cerebral hemorrhage, individual effusion turbidity, brain tissue section of petechial hemorrhage, brain parenchymal disease, inguinal lymph node enlargement, mesenteric lymph node hemorrhage.
4 laboratory test
The brain, spleen disease died of smear, Gram staining, microscopy and arranged in a chain, there are gram positive bacteria single round or oval. According to the age of the diseased pig, the cause of the disease and the clinical symptoms, pathological changes and smear microscopy, the diagnosis was confirmed as meningitis streptococcus.
5 Prevention and control measures
5.1 quarantine measures
Immediately blockade affected areas, prohibition of circulation of pigs.
5.2 emergency vaccination
With Streptococcus suis disease inactivated vaccine (including B and C, each pig streptococcus) were injected 3ml; pregnant sows in prenatal 20 days to 30 days of intramuscular injection of 5ml, in the breeding gilts before the injection of 5 ml, the protection rate can reach 70% ~ 100%, the immune period in 6 months or more.
5.3 remove the source of infection
Sickpigs isolation treatment; pollution barns, appliances and environment with junduging iodine disinfection, the destruction of all the bodies, other wastes buried and burned.
5.4 drug therapy
5.4.1 pig edema disease encephalitis Kang, intramuscular injection 1 times every morning; morninglight No. 2, intramuscular injection; dexamethasone injection, intramuscular injection, intramuscular injection of fast ice, every afternoon 1 injections for 3 days to 5 days.
5.4.2 group with Xingkang powder drink, even drink 5 days; at the same time, Shuanghuanglian extract powder and Fu (according to the instructions for adding 1.5 times amount Banliao), for 7 days, after the change is constant, for January, and adequate supply of drinking water.
5.5, strengthen feeding management

6 summary and experience
