Many pig friend don't know how to determine whether or not his pig parasitic infection is serious, or only the eyes to see, now the two simple and accurate method to measure the parasitic infection and to examine the effects of insect repellent introduced, hope everybody can grasp skilled.
It is generally used to determine the ideal of parasite infection and insect repellent in pig farms.
The tickling index method
To detect the infection degree of the mite and the effect of the mite.
The tickling index method refers to static observation of a group of pigs (not less than 30 heads), and the total number of itching in 15 minutes is divided by the number of pigs observed. (that is, 30 pigs, and the total number of itching in 15 minutes is divided by 30, which is the tickling index.)
1. Severe infection with an itch index was greater than 0.4.
2. Moderate infection of the itching index 0.1-0.4.
3. Mild infection of the itching index is less than 0.1.
Note: if there is a significant decrease in the itching index after 7 days, the effect of insect repellent is obvious.
2. Saturated saline flotation method
It is used to detect the infection degree of ascariasis, acanthocephalus, esophageal nematodes, lungworm, and kidney worm.
1. There are more than 5000 eggs in a gram of pig manure.
2. Moderate infection of a gram of pig dung in the number of eggs 500-5,000.
3. There are fewer than 500 eggs in a single gram of pig manure.
Parasites, body surface parasites, or more moderate infections must be carried out.
Note: before use insect repellent on pig farms, detect if eggs number more than 500 per gram, using insect repellent material, haven't seen adult eduction, and again test eggs, decline significantly, is proved effective insect repellent.
The solution of saturated saltwater: when the water is boiled in the container, the salt is not stirred until the salt is no longer dissolved, and the cooled liquid is the saturated brine. 100ml boiling water of about 35-40g.
